ETHERDEN, Mary Isabel - (January 14, 1934 - September 5, 2020)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Mary Isabel Etherden surrounded by family on September 5, 2020.
She now joins her devoted husband Frederic William Etherden of 61 years.
Proud Mother of Cynthia (Keith), Andrea (Rob) and Paula (Richard). Wonderful Nana to Matthew (Melissa), Jessica, Natalie, Sarah, Alexi and Nanny to Adelyn.
In the early years, Isabel worked as a secretary. Once married, she focused on raising her daughters. She was an accomplished seamstress, homemaker and hospital volunteer.
Later, Isabel returned to a career supporting developmentally challenged adults who fondly referred to her as "Mom". Isabel will be greatly missed by all, but her love and wisdom lives on.
A private family service will be held. Arrangements with McEachnie Funeral Home.
If so desired, memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada, the Anglican Diocese of Toronto and All Saints Anglican Church, Whitby Ontario would be appreciated.
