WASILISHIN, Ronald - With broken hearts and sadness, our family announces that Ron passed away on December 15 2020, at the age of 77.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Helen (Myrka), sons Terry (Krista) and Steven, grandsons Jeffrey and Ryan, sister Mary Kushnirenko, cousin "Uncle Steve" Turylo, sisters-in-law Lesia Wylie (Brian), Jane Morely, Ilene Wasilishin, nephews Daniel (Nathalie), Kevin (Izabelle), Alex, Paul, nieces Lynne Kushnirenko (Travis), Lesia Wasilishin (Matthew), great-uncle to Madeline, Emily, Caleb, Sammy and Abby.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Dmytro and Anastasia (Olejnick), brother Michael Daniel, brothers-in-law Willie Kushnirenko and Walter Myrka.

Ron was a very proud father and devoted Dido who cared deeply about his family. His greatest joy was being his grandsons' biggest sports fan.

Ron was born and raised in Toronto.Ron leaves behind a very large circle of family, friends, neighbours, retired Coca Cola colleagues, teammates from The Scarborough Oldtimers Hockey, The Scarborough Slow Pitch League, and the Birchmount Pool swimmers.

Ron's funeral will be held on December 21st. Due to pandemic restrictions, services can only be attended by immediate family.

The family would like to acknowledge the incredible outpouring of support from caring friends, neighbours and family.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

We all love you and miss you very much Ronnie. You will never be forgotten.
