DYKSTRA, Alice 'Ali' (nee Flim) - Was born October 9, 1928 in Nijverdal, Overijssel, The Netherlands and passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on January 2, 2021. 

She has joined, in the presence of God, her loving husband Aize (Ike) (2015). 

She will be dearly missed by her children Alex, Jeannette (Rob), Lorraine (Jeff), and grandchildren, Howard (Elaine), Jay, Ryan (Jen), Renee, Jordan, Ainsley, and 3 great grandchildren. 

She is also survived by her sisters, Berta Hosmar, Jenny Linnell, and her brother Henk (Flora) Flim.  She will also be remembered by her in-laws Frederick Wind, Pete Vanginhoven and Anne Flim. 

She was predeceased by sisters Joanne Wind, Diane Oudyk, brother George Flim and in-laws Albert Hosmar, Cam Linnell and Lamkje Vanginhoven. 

She will also be lovingly remembered by her in-laws in the Netherlands, Johan Dykstra, Rykel Dykstra, Jan (Gerda) Dykstra, Douwe (Mieke) Dykstra, Getty (Henk) Reinders, Fokke (Hinke) Dykstra and Gerri (Klass) Devries. 

Predeceased by in-laws Foekje and Jan Lentink, Fritz and Sjoukje Dykstra, Jans and Wolter Gastelaars and Rein Dykstra. 

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support in many heartfelt forms. A special thank you to the Palliative Care staff at Lakeridge Health for their compassion and care during Ali’s final weeks. 

A private family service will be held on Wednesday January 6th, in Bowmanville.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to World Renew or Lakeridge Health Palliative Care.
