JOHNSTON, Robert 'Bob' James - (1938 - 2021) - With deep sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Robert 'Bob' Johnston, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Bob is survived by daughters Jennifer (Rick Fellini) and Leslie (Martin Hofer) and his grandchildren Roberto, Angela, Matina and Jackie.
Predeceased by his cherished older brother Richard (Dick) Johnston, he will also be greatly missed by sister-in-law Doreen, younger brother David and sister-in-law Wendy, and his nephews Derek, Tommy, Kevin, Michael and their extended families.
Bob was born December 3, 1938 in Toronto to parents Edna Beer, also born in Toronto, and James Johnston born in Monaghan, Ireland.
Bob was an intelligent, kind and gentle natured man with a quick wit and positive outlook. Bob loved his family and his daughters meant the world to him. He was an integral part of their lives and was fortunate to always spend a great deal of time with them and enjoy watching his grandchildren grow up.
Despite cognitive challenges later in life, Bob never lost his great sense of humour or his infectious laugh which never failed to fill a room with smiles.
Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
