LAWTON, Stephen Neil 'Steve' -  It is with great sadness that we announce the very sudden and unexpected passing of Stephen "Steve" Neil Lawton, on August 11, 2021, at the young age of 71.

Loving husband of Denise (Topper-Lawton) for 34 plus years and Oscar his cat buddy.

Youngest son of Victor and Bernice Lawton (deceased) from Markham, older brother Ross (Elaine) and sister Judy (Leonard) (deceased).

He will be greatly missed by all nephews, nieces, close friends and everyone thought of as family.

Steve was a hard-working, dedicated, quiet compassionate force who treated everyone with respect and caring and was truly admired by all who met him during his many years of work at Emerson Electric, Stouffville LCBO, Stouffville Co-op, RONA Uxbridge.

Steve greeted everyone with his smile and witty endless conversation while ensuring he had a joke to share with almost all.

There will be a Celebration of Life in early to mid September at Steve’s home outside of Siloam, date YTB set.

Those who wish to make a donation in Steve’s memory are invited to support the current Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity dear to your heart
