GAUTHIER, Viviane Estelle (nee Lefebvre) - Of Kincardine, passed away on July 29, 2021 in Oshawa, ON at the age of 80.
Viviane will be missed by her sister and cruising partner, Julie Vandrish of Bramalea and her sons Mike (Kelly) of York, Jay (Barbara) of Miami, Bill (Carla) of Houston, Steve (Angie) of Uxbridge and Matt (Tracey) of Seattle.
Predeceased by sisters Nan Kelly, Yvette Whiteman and grandson Jacob Gauthier.
Loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Viviane was born in Cornwall, Ontario to parents Lucien and Louise Lefebvre on September 22, 1940.
She married (Clifford) Peter Gauthier in 1959 and started a family in Cornwall with the birth of sons Mike, Jay, Bill and Steve. In 1970, Viviane and her family moved to Kincardine where son Matt was born.
Viviane was active in the Catholic Women's League at St. Anthony’s church and worked at the Bank of Montreal as a teller.
She raised 5 boys and was always available to bring them to school, or hockey or Scouts or soccer or to their summer jobs.
In 2013, Viviane moved to Uxbridge, ON to be closer to her son Steve and wife Angie. She carried on her love of gardening on a smaller scale and continued cruising the world.
In 2020, Viviane moved to a retirement home at Taunton Mills in Whitby, ON where she followed Judge Judy, world news and enjoyed each and every family visit.
A funeral mass was held in Uxbridge, ON at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on August 4th.
