De La COURNEUVE, Linda De La Courneuve   -  1952-2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Anne Curle (Nee Wickens. Formerly, de la Courneuve) announce her passing; peacefully in her sleep at Sunnybrook hospital on Sunday, September 5th at the age of 69.

Linda was born on May 9, 1952 in Toronto to Raymond & Delores Wickens, big sister to Brent Wickens & Doug Wickens (Marian).

Linda is survived by Paul, her devoted husband, best friend and partner in life for 25 years. Linda and Paul had a love like no other. They cherished each other deeply and it was clear to everyone around them they were truly meant for each other.

Proud mother to Arnold (Claudia), Carly (Jesse), Stepmother to Bryan Curle & Marsha Curle. Lovingly known as Meemaw to her grandchildren; Declan, Dylan, Lilly & Wyatt.

A real force to be reckoned with, Linda’s professional journey was an inspiration to her daughter Carly and women everywhere as she progressed through her career in the Media industry to reach heights not often seen by women at the time. A brilliant mind, a fierce ambition and a work ethic admired by peers that she instilled in her children.

Linda battled cancer with the courage, strength, and resilience she was so well known for. She will always be in our minds, forever in our hearts with a legacy that will live on.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Linda’s name.

Celebration of life being planned.
