THOM, Margaret “Peggie” Anne Thom   -  Passed away Thursday, February 10th after a short illness, with her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Susan, by her side.

She is predeceased by her brothers, Jerry and Jim, husband Walter and son Mike, and is survived by her brother Paul (Judy), her son Douglas (Susan), daughter Tracey (James), and daughter-in-law Jennifer.

She will be lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren Michael, Jessica, Sarah, Megan, Mason, Maddin, Odin, Graydon, and Talon as well as many nieces and nephews.

Peggie was born in Calgary, Alberta, and traveled North America in her younger years with her military family. While her parents settled in California, Peggie was an independent spirit and stayed in Toronto to begin her adult life.

She met Walter and started a family in Whitby, Ontario where she was heavily involved in the local hockey association.

She was well-known and loved by family, friends, and coworkers, if not by her youthful spirit, tremendous sense of humor, sharp wit and companionship then certainly for her prowess at Animal Crossing and Pokémon Go.

She will be dearly missed by so many.

Cremation will occur prior to a Celebration of Life. The Celebration of Life is on Sunday, February 27th in the chapel at Mount Lawn Funeral Home.   Registration with the funeral home is required.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Jumpstart to support your local minor sports associations.
