Carey BeverleyCAREY, Beverley Ann (McMahon) - (April 29th, 1931 – February 8th, 2022)

Passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family, in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of Carl, for 65 wonderful years.

She was adored by her children; Diane (Dean) Carey-Willits, Mike (Sheila) Carey and Pat (Mike) Moore, her grandchildren, and partners; Ryan Duval (Kelly), Jena (Mark) Duval-Brough, Jordan Carey (Sara), Dana Carey (Jake), Justin Moore (Rebecca) and Nathan Moore (Meaghann), and her great grand children; Amelia and Bennet Brough.

Bev was predeceased by her parents Harold and Gertrude McMahon and brothers Harley and Bud McMahon (Noreen), and in-laws Gerry (Louella) Carey, Anna (Frank) Hoar, Stan Carey and Ron Carey.

She is survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss her very much.

With a quick smile and a wave from the porch on Eastmount St., Bev was always ready to go shopping with her daughters, friends, or neighbours. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, apple pie, and the Mentos she always had on hand for her grandchildren.

With the love of her life, Carl, by her side, Bev enjoyed travelling. Their 24 cruises not only took them around the world but afforded them many wonderful friendships, as did their association with the several local groups they belonged to. These friendships, old and new, are a great source of comfort to the family in their time of grief.

A huge thank you to the amazing Palliative Care Unit of Lakeridge Health.

A special thank you to all the wonderful and caring Personal Care Workers who looked after Bev in her time of need.

A private family funeral will be held. Arrangements are entrusted with  OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME .

The service can be viewed online on Friday February 18th at 1:30 p.m. via the livestream link: https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/47220

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a  CHARITY of your choice would be appreciated

Online condolences may be made at oshawafuneralhome.com .
