STURGE, Elsie Blanche (nee Starkes) - January 7, 1935 – March 22, 2022
Peacefully on Wednesday March 22, 2022, at the Lakeridge Health – Oshawa in her 88th year.
Blanche is now reunited with her beloved husband Joseph of 67 years.
Loving Mother to Gordon (Sherry), Barry (Monica), Rick (Debbie), and William.
Cherished Grandma to Christopher, Arielle, Shelly, Mark, Sean, and Eric, and Great-Grandma to Braelynn, Teegan, Trinity, and Paxton.Survived by her sister Marjorie King (Pleman).
Predeceased by her Father Wilfred Starkes and her Mother Gladys Hunt; and her sisters Myrtle King, Carrie Quinlan and Bernice Knee.
Blanche, will be missed and lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Blanche will be remembered for putting her loving family first.
She loved to bake wonderful bread and sweets and knitted many blankets for others that will be cherished and always kept in touch with everyone.
Thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Lakeridge Health - Oshawa for their compassion, kindness and excellent care.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME , 847 King Street West, Oshawa, on Thursday March 31, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of the funeral home on Friday April 1, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Thornton Cemetery.
