MILLER, Lydia Margarete Miller   -  1938 - 2022

On December 30, 2022 Lydia Margarete Miller passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 84.

Lydia was born April 12, 1938 at Six Nations of the Grand River in Oshweken, Ontario to parents George and Agnes Miller. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Lloyd, who was the love of her life.

Lydia was a loving mother to her baby girl Desirée, loving Grandmother to Paul (Tina), Michelle (David), Great Grandmother to Alison, Emmett, Maddilyn, Mya & Elijah.

Lydia's beloved three boys Harvey, Robert and John John (predeceased) held a special place in her heart. Lydia will be sadly missed by her first Granddaughter Sarah in addition to many Great GrandChildren and by her eldest daughter Deborah (Predeceased Ken) and their children, Rebecca and Cody.

Predeceased by her adoring sisters Luda Longboat and Marilyn Bellmore. Not enough could be said about her love for her nieces of Six Nations of the Grand River as Lydia fondly referred to as "the girls". Lydia's feisty energy and strength will be missed by so many other family and friends.

A Traditional Indigenous Ceremony will be held on Six Nations of the Grand River at a later date where she + John John will be laid to rest with her Beloved sisters. As mom always said, "I'll be walking in the sunshine with John." and it brings the family great comfort to know that's where she is now.

A service will be held  on Thursday January 5th, 2023 at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax Ontario, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Lydia's name to The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund.
