Born: Borboruso, Italy (August 17, 1924) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Augusto on April 14, 2023, in his 99th year.
Beloved husband of Maria (Bruno) for 64 years.
Loving Papa of Ugo (Cathy), Pina Craven (Tom) and Frank (Laura).
Cherished Nonno of Matt (Jess), Paul (Vanessa), Domenic (Amanda), Catrina (Tara), Sara (John), and Alicia (Austin).
Adored Bisnonno to Atli, Juno and Sierra.
Dear brother of Maria Costanzo (the late Gildo) of Italy and dear brother-in-law of Rosa (the
late Norino).
Predeceased by his siblings Angelina, Carmine (Palma), Angelo (Rosina), Domenico (Giuseppina), Serafina Ruffo (Oreste) and Carmela Angotti (Gusparo). Brother-in-law of Pasquale (Tina), Costantino (Lisa) and Salvatore (Susan).
Luigi will be fondly remembered by his many nephews, nieces and friends in Canada, Italy and Australia.
Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. East, Oshawa). Visitation on Monday, April 17
from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, with prayers at 7 pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 18 at Holy Cross Church
(373 Simcoe St. South, Oshawa) at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Palliative Care Unit or Holy Cross Church-Oshawa would be appreciated.
