WIGGANS, Wayne Wiggans -
October 15, 1942 - April 15, 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Wayne David Wiggans, peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 80th year on April 15, 2023.
Beloved son of the late Stephen Wiggans and Evelyn (nee Hamlyn) of Oshawa.
Loved brother of Dorothy Jarvie (late Gord), Jacqueline and Gary (Marilyn).
Predeceased by siblings Russell, Gladys, Ronald and Gloria.
Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Janet (Rick), Darlene (Tom), Philip (Valerie), Clifford, Murray, Jeffery, Eric (Diane), and Larry (Lisa) and his great nieces and nephews. Wayne loved music and played guitar.
He had a lovely voice and sang in a barbershop quartet and St. Mark’s Choir in Whitby and was an avid bowler.
He played the euphonium in the intermediate Whitby Brass Band for 15 years.
Wayne worked at Centenary Hospital for over 30 years and was a strong union member.
He will be missed by his good friend Shawn.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment Union Cemetery.
