JACKSON, Michael William Jackson  -
1940 - August 23, 2023

Sadly on August 23rd, Michael (Mike) Jackson passed away peacefully at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry.

Predeceased by wife Diane and daughter Kathleen.

Mike fought a courageous battle with cancer, but did not let the disease define him.

Mike was a very generous man who would offer help to anyone that needed it.

Always the quintessential joker, Mike made us laugh at every opportunity. He loved the simple things in life, especially rock music from the 70’s and old movies. His hobbies over the years included building and flying his ultra-light airplane, driving his boat across Lake Simcoe and of course, playing either his drums or guitars at full volume.

But Mike’s favourite times were spending it with family at the farm in Claremont.

If you didn’t see him on his tractor cutting the grass, you would find him cleaning the pool so that the property was pristine for that next visitor.

Mike will be greatly missed by his daughter Laurie (Terry), son Greg (Chrissy), and son in law Larry. He will forever be cherished by his grandchildren Alexander (Chris), Nicole (Brandon), Ethan (Davidson), and Matthew (Shelby).

He will also be greatly missed by his family in England, brother Paul (Penny), Aunt Lulu, nephew Stuart (Penny) and their children.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Oak Ridges Hospice would be greatly appreciated.

Rest in peace dad, we all love you more than words
.
