Carr HaydenCARR, Hayden Allan Carr -

OCTOBER 3, 1952 – DECEMBER 20, 2023

With sad hearts Hayden left us peacefully while surrounded by loved ones at his home in Bethany, Ontario on December 20 2023.

Hayden was the devoted soulmate and spouse to Janice McArthur, proud father to Brendan, Jordan, Melanie, and Todd. Loving Papa to Aven, Aslyn, and Kyrie.

Hayden was the only child of Joyce (nee Appleton) Carr and John Carr (predeceased).

Hayden was proud to be born in Port of Spain, Trinidad. He moved to Canada at the age of 17 to continue his educational journey at Humber College and Ryerson University. With great pride, Hayden became a Canadian citizen.

His professional career was in business management, with the past 2 decades at Royal Bank of Canada. Hayden had a passion for all sports, especially FIFA World Cup, music, and travel. With faith as his anchor, a positive mindset, he faced many complex health challenges with great resilience.

The fabric of Hayden’s character touched so many lives. Hayden leaves behind many close friends and family and is an inspiration to all. We now remember not only that he died but how he lived. Hayden’s life gave us memories too precious to forget. Visitation will be held on Thursday December 28, 2023 from 5-8pm at Oshawa Funeral Home (847 King Street West, Oshawa).

Visitation on Friday December 29, 2023 from 10-11am at Knox Presbyterian Church (147 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa), followed by Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. Following reception, interment will take place at Lake View Cemetery (1672 Kirkfield Road, Kirkfield).

The Celebration of Life will be livestreamed and can be viewed at the following link: https://pickartphoto.com/stream/Carr/
