Scott DaleSCOTT, Dale  -

February 27, 1948 - January 2, 2024

Passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday January 2nd, 2024 at the age of 75.

Loving husband of Margaret for 50 years. Much loved father of Sarah Scott and her husband Dwayne Clayton and Jonathan Scott.  Cherished Grandpa of Claire.

Dear brother of Paul Scott and his wife Wendy.

An alumni of the University of Waterloo; he obtained his B.Sc. in 1973, and his Masters of Earth Science in 1975.

Director of Corporate Policy Coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources for many years.  After retirement, President of Dale Scott and Associates Consulting.

A lifelong conservationist, his first love was the outdoors.  This was reflected in the numerous environmental projects he embarked on; and the family-like bonds he developed, in the cottage community in the Bruce Peninsula.

His passion was being on the water; boating, skiing, and fishing; with dogs by his side.  He traveled the world, both with his wife, and with fellow Geologists with the Forum on Industrial Minerals.

Many thanks to doctors McAllister, Morton, and Zalewski, and the healthcare team at Lakeridge Cancer Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeridge Cancer Centre, or Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Saturday January 6th from
1:00 - 3:00 pm.
Dale will be laid to rest at Eastnor Cemetery.

In memory of Dale memorial donations to Lakeridge Health (Cancer Care) or the Nature Conservancy of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
