SERGE, Ronald Francis - It is with profound sadness that we regretfully announce the passing of our beloved father Ronald, on Saturday May 4th, 2024, at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa.
He passed peacefully at the tender age of 90, with all his family at his side.
“Ronnie” will be sincerely missed by his loving wife of 66 years, Rose Marie (nee Galdes), his five children, Adrian (Linda), Anita (Joe), Alexandra (David), Joseph and John (Linda).
He leaves behind five grandchildren, Amanda, Kevin, Danielle, Stephanie and Aurellia, his three great grandchildren, Braelyn, Makayla and Eliana, and siblings, Alice, Joe and Marlene.
Born and raised in Sliema, Malta, Ronnie immigrated to Canada in 1978 where he established a new home for his family in Oshawa. An avid gardener, photographer, soccer enthusiast and trivia buff, Ronnie was, above all, a true family man, a devoted husband and caring father who will be missed beyond measure.
Though with fond memories, there will be void in the lives of all those that had the fortune of knowing him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Parish (1314 Oxford Street, Oshawa). Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
