SALSBERG, Allan Thomas  -

April 2, 1942 - March 16, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our sweet, patient, endearing and gentle knight in shining armour, Allan Thomas Salsberg.

Son of the late Rose and Irving Salsberg and younger brother of Judy and Larry (deceased), Allan was a much loved and respected dentist in Toronto for over 45 years, also serving communities in Northern Ontario and teaching at the Faculty of Dentistry.

Allan had many diverse interests, but his greatest love was his large, close-knit family and many dear friends, His kind heart, open mind and generous spirit helped turn the Salsberg home into a haven of love, laughter and acceptance, where everyone was welcome.

Allan leaves behind his wife, Patty (Zoldos); children, Justin (Kristen), Logan (Michelle) and Alexa (Alan); grandchildren, Jack and Chloe, sister, Judy; sister-in-law, Kathy; brothers-in-law, Barry, Ron and Jeff, Aunt Eva and his many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Our heartfelt thanks to the amazing nurses and doctors at Toronto General Hospital's Coronary ICU for their compassionate care during Allan's final days, including the touching gesture of arranging for his golden retriever Luna to visit.

A celebration of Allan's life will take place on April 13th at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, beginning with a scattering of his ashes in the Rose Garden at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the Funeral Centre, from 2 - 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be deeply appreciated.
