DeLINE, Ronald Gradon - Passed away peacefully at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on April 27, 2024 at the age of 89.
Beloved husband of Edna for over 63 years.
Loving Dad of Karen (Mike), Brenda (Art) and Paula (Greg).
Proud Grandpa/Papa of Kimberley (Jamie), Bradley (Julie), Trevor, Dillon and Justin.
Dear Great-Papa of Jake, Leah, Georgia and Gavin. Ron was an electrotyper in the printing trade and a retiree of The Toronto Star.
Most of his career was spent in the auto industry as a dealer/owner.
He loved negotiating a deal and was, by all means, a people person. Ron was a 50 year Honourable Member of Remembrance Lodge #586 where he spent much of his time and energy helping to support charitable causes.
He loved sports and was a 42 year member of The York Downs Golf & Country Club where he had numerous friends.
His love for horse racing was a life long passion.
A perfect day would be a Sunday at the track.
Ron was a great storyteller and had an incredible sense of humour. He had many friends from all areas of his life and was a very caring person.
He loved his family and his family loved him so very much and will miss him dearly. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of York Region.
