GORTHY, Doris Helen - On October 1, 2018, Doris Helen Gorthy passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. At the age of 52, she was taken from us all too soon.
Anyone who spent any amount of time with Doris was immediately taken by her boundless energy and wonderful sense of humor. A lifelong learner and consummate professional, she was a pioneer in medical imaging. Doris was exemplary at promoting the imaging profession in healthcare and was always willing to share her knowledge and experience to help others.
Doris will be dearly missed by her husband George, and their children Benjamin, Mitchell and Madison, as well as her parents, Jürgen and Elfriede, her brothers Martin (Lori) and Eric (Katherine), George's parents, George and Jo-Anne, and George's brothers Darren (Sharon) and Thomas (Janene).
Visitation at Turner & Porter - Neweduk - Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. West, Mississauga, ON., on Friday, October 5th, from 5pm to 9pm.
