Chambers ThomasCHAMBERS, Thomas Edward  -  With grieving hearts we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved Tom, on Friday, October 12, 2018 while engaged in his favourite activity – kayaking and bonding with nature.

Predeceased by parents Irene Ann Elizabeth (nee Kellins) and William (Bill) Henry Chambers of Saskatoon, SK, as well as sister Lana Pipke (Al, deceased); and brother James; Tom is survived by his greatest loves; wife Anna; and sons Marlon Steele and Argus William.

Mourning his loss are his brother Robert (Bob) and wife Joyce and family; mother-in-law Vasso Mahshy (Shafik, deceased); sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Chambers (James, deceased), Aliki Mahshy, Cleo Darragh (Greg) and family; Leila Jahn (David) and family; in addition to many extended relations.

Born on January 14, 1955 in Olds, AB, Tom would dream big on his journey in the men’s fashion industry.  His creative flair, determination and dedicated work ethic helped him launch Chambers and Sons Agents Limited in 1988. For over 30 years this fashion-forward company has distributed European brands to over 120 Canadian retailers. His passing leaves a distinct void within the fashion industry.

Tom had a compassionate and generous spirit. He dedicated his spare time in support of disadvantaged youth, organizing and funding day excursions as well as overnight trips in partnership with Covenant House.  He had a deep appreciation for the aesthetic beauty of nature and art. He touched many hearts, and for that he will be greatly missed.

There will be a private family ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Tom’s name to Covenant House, https://www.covenanthousetoronto.ca/homeless-youth/Donate.
