DIMAS, Katina - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Katina Dimas on Friday November 9, 2018.
Katina is re-united with her late husband Panayioti (1991)
She leaves behind her beloved daughter Vivian, dear sister of Vasio, Andrea, Thanasi, and Danai. Katina was born in Gianeika, Greece in 1940 to parents George and Ioanna Trigilidas.
She immigrated to Canada in 1964 and set upon a path to build her life and family in her new homeland.
Katina met Panayioti in Toronto and were married in 1969. In 1991 Katina lost her eternal love Panayioti.
She persevered and focused her energy on ensuring her daughter had a great life in spite of the early loss of her husband.
Katina worked extremely hard in the dry-cleaning business and throughout the years was sought after by multiple dry-cleaning establishments. A testament of the woman that she was.
Katina was a lady of kindness, class, integrity, went above and beyond as a wife, mother and friend to many. She will greatly be missed.
Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Wednesday, November 14th,2018 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm. The service will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive Toronto on Thursday, November 15th, 2018 at 10:00am.
