KALYNOWYSH, Olga - It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Olga Kalynowysh of Mississauga who passed away on November 21, 2018, at the age of 66 after a brief illness.
Predeceased by her parents Bohdan and Kataryna, her in-laws Harry and Mary, and her nephew Adam.
She is survived by her loving husband Wally and children Chrissy, Nina (Thom) and William, and her siblings Ihor (Anne), Irene (Herwig) and their children Ivan and Tessa, and her brother-in-law Bobby and his daughter Demitria.
Olga was a beloved teacher, spending many years at Sts. Peter and Paul and St. Philip elementary schools, and most recently at the Museums of Mississauga as an interpreter and at Riverwood Conservancy as a volunteer. Recently retired, Olga enjoyed painting with the Clarkson Society of Artists, hiking, cross country skiing, playing tennis, travelling, practicing yoga, devouring books, and tending to her prolific garden.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 30 at Turner & Porter Funeral Home - Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. A funeral celebrating her life will be held at Turner & Porter Funeral Home - Peel Chapel on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 am followed by an interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery in Oakville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Brantford’s Participation Support Services (https://www.pssbrantford.org/), an organization important to Olga and her family and where Chrissy, her eldest daughter resides.
