GEORGIOU, Eleftheria “Evelyn” (nee Liolios) - Was born in Kyparissos, Greece on May 5th, 1936. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side and entered Heaven’s gates on December 1, 2018.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years Anastasios, her daughter Ioanna (Jenny) and husband Panagiotis Vretanos, daughter Helen and her husband Bill Bougadis.
A loving mother and homemaker, Eleftheria was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing traditional Greek meals for her family and friends, most especially pies (“pites”) over the holidays.
A visitation celebrating her life will be held on Mon., Dec. 3rd 2018 at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto, ON between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tues., Dec. 4th 2018 at St. Irene Chrisovalantou Greek Orthodox Church, 66 Gough Ave., Toronto, ON M4K 3N8 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Scarborough.
