BLAIR-HILL, Yvonne Camille - Yvonne Camille Blair-Hill, 91, of Richmond Hill, Ontario, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 6, 2018.
Yvonne was born to Brad Blair and Ina Blair (nee Parchment) in Southfield, St Elizabeth, Jamaica on August 9, 1927. She was the third of seven children.
She attended Mayfield Elementary School followed by Bennett College in Kingston, where she pursued a course in bookkeeping. She taught night classes at Excelsior Commercial College.
After moving to England she worked at the Association of Cinematography, Television & Allied Technicians. She was never in awe of the movie stars she met there.
She married George Anthony (Tony) Hill in 1969. They retired to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and lived there until Tony’s death. Afterwards, she moved to the Oak Ridges Retirement Community in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Yvonne loved to cook, entertain and took pleasure in needlework and gardening. Anyone who knew her was aware that she loved to sing and dance. She will be missed.
Funeral services were held December 10th. Arrangements entrusted with Thompson funeral home, Aurora, Ontario.
