Grant NancyGRANT, Nancy Ann (Creighton) - We sadly announce the passing of Nancy on December 14, 2018.

Cherished wife of Patrick Grant, dear step mom to Jonathan (Suzanne) and Jason (Tracy), and “Nana Nancy” to Rebecca, Tyler, Andrew, and Dylan.

Aunt Nancy was adored by her nephews and their families, Bruce Creighton (Terry), Don (Christine) and Scott, and her great nieces Alex, Sandy, Sarah and Laura, and great nephews David, James and Mark.

She will be missed by her sister-in-law, Marilyn Creighton, and was pre-deceased by her big brother, Doug Creighton.

Nancy was so admired by everyone she knew for her generosity, her laughter and her infectious optimism. Life was fun when Nancy was around and she could light up your day. She was a deeply respected teacher with the TDSB for over 34 years and a sought-after tutor when she retired.

She was a gracious hostess, famous for her Christmas cocktail parties and summer BBQs. She was interested in people’s lives; she was a good listener and a loyal and trusted confidant. She never missed a birthday and celebrated every holiday with style.

What we will all remember most about Nancy was the incredible love story she shared with Pat. Through 45 years of marriage they were inseparable, long ago knowing that all they wanted in the world was each other. She died holding Pat’s hand, together to the end, in a last romantic moment.

A funeral will be held at St. Clements Church, 70 St. Clements Avenue (at Duplex Avenue), at 2 p.m. on Wednesday December 19th, followed by a reception.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Clements Church.
