Praskey WilliamPRASKEY, William 'Bill' Albert  -  (September 15, 1927 – December 21, 2018)  -  With great sadness, the family announces the death of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather at the Village of Humber Heights, Etobicoke, Ont.

Teachers’ College sweetheart and loving husband of Jean Risebrough Praskey for 69 years.

Eldest son of the late Jim Praskey and Florence North; stepson of the late Alice Hunt; brother of Gordon Praskey, Huntsville, Ont., and the late Wilbert Praskey.

Bill loved his girls: 3 daughters, Susan Koruna (Don), Huntsville; Sally Praskey (Cyril, deceased), Cheticamp, N.S.; Tammy Boyling (Scott), Toronto. 2 fun-loving grandchildren, Kristi Koruna, Australia; Julie Koruna (Denis), Keswick. 'G.G. Bill' to great-grandchildren Kylie and Ryan.

Bill began his teaching career in 1949 at a two-room school in Milliken. After teaching at Dovercourt P.S. in Toronto, he moved to the Etobicoke Board of Education, where he was a teacher, vice-principal, principal and area superintendent. Upon retiring in 1985, he embarked on a second career, managing a golf course. There he conquered yet another sport besides hockey, softball, cross-country skiing and running six miles a day. Bill was happiest surrounded by his students and family. Thanks to loyal caregivers Dolly, Joy #1, Joy #2, and Erwina for their support.

Cremation has taken place. Private interment at a later date.

Memorial donations gratefully accepted at Terry Fox Foundation or Canadian Wildlife Federation.
