Payne LindaPAYNE, Linda E. (nee AUSTIN)   - Died on January 5, 2019, at 76 years of age.

Beloved wife of Jim Payne, loving mother of Grant. M. Spiller (Lisa) and the late E. Allison Spiller (Suzy).

Will be dearly missed by her sister Joanne West (Craig) and her sister-in-law Fran Blewett (Pat).

Will also be missed by nieces, Nora Cuzzocorea (Sam), Helen Vink (Gary) and Lisa Degen, as well as nephew, Marc Young and grandson, Ben Spiller.

Linda began her teaching career at Western in 1972 and then taught at Fanshawe College for 5 years before moving on to Seneca College in 1980. There she taught English and was a coordinator, then Chair and finally the Dean of English for 10 Years.

After retirement, Linda and Jim enjoyed extensive travel in Europe and North America. Linda loved to come home and scrapbook their travel memories.

She and Jim were also very active in the Society for Learning and Retirement as both participants and moderators. Cremation has taken place.

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Linda's Life at the Harris Funeral Home, London, on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Remembrances at 3:00 p.m.
