HOVEY, Ursula (nee Sasse) - (May 16, 1939 - January 29, 2019) -
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of my dear mom, and Oma at the age of 79 at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on January 29, 2019.
Ursula is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Paunch) Kalia, her grandchildren Aaron, Erik and Aleisha, her great-grandchild Amari Dennis and her dog Fergie who was her constant companion.
Predeceased by her beloved parents Wilhelm and Elisabeth (nee Hermes) and her brothers Rolf and Hans. She will be greatly missed by her nephew Rob (Patsy) niece Susie ( Shawn) and her extended family & friends.
Mom was happiest when she spent time with her family, she was our greatest supporter, advocate, mentor and the very best Mom and Oma anyone could ask for. Her absence leaves us all with a broken heart, she will be forever missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
A memorial service/visitation and a celebration of life will be held on February 8th at The Guild Inn Estate, 201 Guildwood Parkway, Scarborough, Ontario M1E 1P5. Memorial visitation at 11:00am. Memorial Service at 12:00pm. Celebration of life at 12:45pm.
Mom was a longtime supporter of a few charities including Covenant House, The Scott Mission, the Toronto Wildlife Centre, IFAW, CAMH and several other animal organizations. For those who wish, to make a donation to any of these organizations in her honour.
