BRUNENIEKS, Jevgenija (Blumbergs) - August 5, 1917 – January 29, 2019) - On January 29, 2019, at about 2:00 p.m., Jevgenija (Jenny) Brunenieks passed away at the age of 101 years.
She died peacefully in her room at Kristus Darzs Latvian Nursing Home where she had been lovingly attended to for the last 5 years. Jenny was accompanied in her last moments by her daughter Sandra.
She was predeceased by her husband Bernhard (1995).
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Miceli (Frank); her step-daughter Elga Ozolins, her granddaughters Katherine (Shanda), Christina Pope (Graham), Victoria (Jesse) and Theresa; and her 6-month-old great-grandson Jasper.
Jenny will be missed by her American cousins Dr. Valdis and Mrs. Renee Vitols and friends and family both in Canada and Latvia. Rest in Peace Omi.
Memorial service will be held at Thompson funeral home, Aurora on May 11th at 11:00 a.m.
