ALLEGRETTO, Sandy  -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandy Allegretto (nee Castiglione), a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend.

She passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019 with her family by her side.

Sandy will be deeply missed by Frank, her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, and her daughters Christina and Jessica (John).

Sandy was a cara figlia to Gilda and the late Francesco Castiglione and adored daughter-in law to the late Anthony and Mary Allegretto. She was a loving sister to Teresa Cerone (Pietro), sister-in law to Ronald Allegretto (Nata), Helen Cachia (Philip), Diane Pulo (Alfred) and the late Joseph Allegretto.

Sandy was a devoted aunt and great aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

Sandy was enjoying her retirement after 38 years working at Ontario Power Generation. She will be missed dearly by extended family and friends. She also was predeceased by her loving dog, Buddy.

A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Visitation will be held at Fratelli Vescio Funeral Home, Maple, on Tuesday, February 5th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 6th at 9:30 a.m. at St. David’s Catholic Church (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr, Maple).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada or The Hospital for Sick Children, her favourite charity.
