GRIFFIN, Isabel Josephine (nee Dafoe) - Passed away peacefully at age 88 on February 3, 2019 in Newmarket.
Predeceased by her husband Albert.
Loving mother of Cathy and her husband David De Buck. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Shaleigh), Caryn (Nader) and Sara, and great-grandmother to Maddix and Hannah.
Isabel was a caring and passionate teacher for over 35 years. As a committed life-long learner she attended the University of Western Ontario while teaching full-time and achieved a Bachelor of Arts in 1981. In her spare time she loved to knit, swim, practice Tai Chi and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. In her later years she enjoyed singing, painting and playing trivia games with her friends at Sunrise of Aurora.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket, on Sunday, February 10, 2019, from 1pm to 4pm. Cremation and a private family interment at Tillsonburg Memorial Cemetery is planned.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
