Koropatwa MinnieKOROPATWA, Minnie (Chepil) - Passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was 90 years old.

Shewas born in Melville, Saskatchewan on September 17, 1928. She grew up in Melville and went to high school there. Her family then moved to Winnipeg where she worked in the family's grocery store.

She met Peter and they married on October 9, 1948. They were married for 68 years. Their first two daughters (Margaret Ann and Mary Jane) were also born in Winnipeg. In 1954 Peter and Minnie moved their family to Toronto, where their third daughter (Judy Carol) and son (Peter Michael) were born.

Minnie enjoyed her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, baking and entertaining with family and friends. Her true passion was sewing. She also loved travelling and visiting relatives. Peter and her took many wonderful trips. They could hardly wait to plan their next vacation.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter, by brothers Jim Chappell and Joseph Chepil, by sisters Mary (Peter) Grycko and Alice (Edwin) Somers, and by son-in-law Michael Boulton-Cox.

Minnie is survived by daughters Margaret (Ivan) Nikolic, Mary Jane Boulton-Cox, Judy (David) France and son Peter (Rhonda); Grandchildren: Paul (Jeanette), Julie (Craig), Michael (Brianne), Jennifer, Laura (Marie), Andrew, Stephanie, Pete (Emily), Michelle, Nathan, and Matthew; Great Grandchildren: Clark, Paige, Molly, Beckett, Malcolm and, Elijah; and by her numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by all.

We thank the nurses and the PSW's at the Unionville Home Society Foundation in Markham, Ontario for their wonderful care of our mother.

Visitation will take place at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Monday, February 11th from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm followed by a service at 12:00 pm. A reception will take place immediately following the service from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Holy Eucharist Renovation Fund or the Alzheimer Society of York Region, would be appreciated.
