MORRA, Giuseppe - 80, of Scarborough, Ontario – With heavy hearts we announce that Giuseppe passed away quietly on Monday April 15, 2019 at Scarborough General Hospital with loved ones at his side.
Born December 3rd, 1938 in Panni, Foggia, Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio Morra and Assunta Totilo.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Incoronata Morra.
Loving father to Antonio (Laurie) and Maria.
Cherished Nonno to grandchildren Mikayla, Joseph and Juliana.
He will be greatly missed by sister Maria(Luigi) and brothers, Alfonzo(Maria) and Carlo. By sister-in-law Gaetana (Nino), brother-in-law’s, Fred (Maria), Valentino (Stella), Tony (Sarah). He will also never be forgotten by all his nieces (great), nephews (great) and extended family. Fond memories from not only family but by many friends too.
Giuseppe could do it all and would do it all for everyone. He was the SUPERMAN of handymen and always willing to help family and friends. His family was always most important to him along with his faith. He grew up working from a very young age to help support his family in Italy. Travelled to France to find work and sent every penny back home to his mother and father to ensure his siblings were looked after.
In his late 20s he came to Canada and met his wife who he adored so much. Together they worked extremely hard to have a better life for themselves and their children. Those values and the memories of his wonderful sense of humor and tremendous work ethic we will never forget.
We love you with all our hearts and know you are at peace with your wife and loved ones in Heaven.
Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on April 23rd from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will take place at Saint Maria Goretti Parish, 717 Kennedy Road, Toronto on April 24th at 10:00 AM
