Santos LinaSANTOS, Capitolina 'Lina' - Passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019.

Capitolina was the wife of Orlando Santos and the mother of Suzy and Claudia, who blessed her with five grandchildren whom she loved immensely, and never hesitated to tell them so.

This is her proudest accomplishment; the family she built with the love of her life. They met at the age of nine, married at twenty-six, and celebrated fifty-four years of love, friendship and adventure.

They were fortunate enough to retire and spend that time together. They were truly tied to each other in the way that few people experience.

An extremely compassionate woman, who gave to various charities, but most of all, to her family and friends. She was always there with positive influences and encouragement, sometimes even with the lovely cross stitches she enjoyed making. Her constant positivity on the people she knew was greatly cherished and will be forever remembered.

Unfortunately, she contracted rheumatoid arthritis which attributed to her lung disease. This was the ultimate battle of her life which she was unable to win. Capitolina was a very strong woman, and fought until the end. It is an attribute of hers which her descendants will be proud of forever.

Princess Capitolina had a wonderful life. She loved her family more than anything and constantly told her daughters how proud she was. She let her daughter know just a week prior to her passing that she had absolutely no regrets. She taught her daughters and grandchildren to be brave, independent and to always follow their dreams.

Visitation will be held at Cardinal Funeral Home, Bathurst Chapel, Toronto on June 3, 2019 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

In keeping with Capitolina's kind and giving nature, those who wish to make memorial donations in her name, may direct them to the Lung Association.
