ADAMS, Phyllis Mary 'Joan' (nee Richards) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Joan on Monday June 3, 2019 at the age of 96.
Joan is now re-united with her cherished husband Aubrey Vernon Adams.
She was the dear mother of Peter Adams (Linda) of Toronto and Keith Adams (Connie) of Kettle Point.
Joan was the devoted grandmother of Stefanie Farnham (Jeff) of Boston and Andrea Spurrell (Gary) of Chatham and loving great grandmother of Taylor and Mackenzie Farnham.
In the 70’s, Joan courageously fought breast cancer and is a proud survivor winning her battle. In the following years she became involved with and gave many years of service to the Volunteer Association of Peel Memorial Hospital. Joan was also a very active volunteer at her church including being the Treasurer of the Women’s Event Group.
Joan will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her family, friends and all who knew her.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes, private cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Donations in loving memory of Joan can be made to the William Osler Volunteer Association, Grace United Church in Brampton or the Canadian Cancer Society.
