SAMUEL, Stephen Plathanethu - On June 26, 2019, he passed away due to complications related to lung cancer. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by family, who were praying and singing songs of worship to God,
He was born to Rev. P. M. and Mrs. Mary Samuel, on September 1, 1942, in Andhra Pradesh, India.
He grew up in Vijayawada, India, alongside his three brothers, Matthew, Abraham, and Johnny and two sisters, Glory and Esther.
He studied at a postsecondary school for photography in Germany.
He got married to Kunjunjamma (Molly) and later moved to Canada with her in 1967.
He is the father to three children: Jenny (married to Stéphane), Jasmine (married to David), and Josh (married to Joyce), and grandfather to six grandchildren: Krystal, Julia, Daniel, Josiah, Jeremiah, and Joanna.
Stephen made a recommitment to follow Jesus Christ as His Lord and Saviour in 2007 and was changed ever since. Stephen is now with His Lord. He will always be remembered and missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm and at Global Kingdom Ministries, 1250 Markham Rd, Scarborough on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 from 10:00am - 11:00am. The service will follow at 11:00am.
