Haper FrancesHARPER, Frances Quin - With deep sorrow mixed with hope, we announce the passing of Frances of Orangeville, Ontario on Thursday, October 3, 2019 after a long and fulfilling life.

Born in Toronto to Robert and Dorothy Quin, Frances graduated from York Memorial Collegiate and continued her education at Business College and the Emmaus Bible Institute.

As a young person, she was invited to church by a good friend and saw the joy and peace in the lives of those she met there. She realized her need of a Saviour, and made the life altering decision to become a follower of Jesus. She was a sincere, passionate follower of Jesus Christ for the rest of her life.

Frances and her husband Jack met and fell in love as teenagers. They were happily married for 72 years.

She was the mother of (the late) Robert (Janice), Elizabeth (Peter), Stephen (Kathleen), David (Nancy) and Colleen (Mark).

Frances and Jack were blessed with 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren whom they dearly loved.

A beautiful person in every way, she was the heart of her family and will be greatly missed.

Always a brave woman, Frances gave birth to 4 of her children in small hospitals in Malawi and Zimbabwe while she and her husband were serving as missionaries with S.I.M.

She had a lifelong commitment to doing kind deeds for the welfare of others, which included sharing her home with many people in need, teaching children in a club at her home, counselling for a mental health hotline, and teaching English to refugees.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct.19th, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Orangeville. There will be a service of celebration of her life at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel with interment at Mono.
