DATT, Deodharry - Known to friends and family as Robby Datt (Sagar), passed away on October 27, 2019, at the age of 86 years.

Robby was born in Guyana in the town of Armadale, West Coast Berbice on January 26th, 1933. His father passed away before he was born and he was raised by his mom and uncle (“Big Six”).

At the age of 18 he joined the police force, eventually leaving to become a farmer. While a proud Guyanese, he eventually migrated to Canada in 1975. He worked in various machine operator roles throughout his career before retiring in 1989 due to complications with his knee. The timing was perfect as it allowed him to spend the remainder of his life spoiling his grandchildren right to the end.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rukhdai (nee Tiwari), children; Rohan (Indira), Tulsi (Indira), Nalini (Subhas), Ghansham (Rosemary), Ganesh (Corinna), and 11 grandchildren; Nadira, Chalisa, Anjini, Gavin, Roma, Anil, Ryan, Anita, Sarah, Liam, and Mena.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30th from 6pm to 9pm at Chapel Ridge, Markham. A Funeral Service in memory of Deodharry will be held in the chapel on Thursday, October 31st, 2019 at 10:45am. Cremation to follow.
