EWING, Donald John Thomas - Passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday November 21, 2019, at the age of 87.
Donald was the loving husband to Evelyn Christina Ewing (nee Lawson). Loving son of Maude and Jack Ewing. And loving brother of Lorraine and Bob Warren.
Donald will be terribly missed by his 3 children, Russell Ewing (Ruth), Richard Ewing (May) and Ronda Ewing (Geoff). He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donald was born in Toronto, Ontario. He worked 35 dedicated years for the provincial Ministry of Transportation and Communications. During this time he was a loyal and selfless husband and father, as well as hockey coach, skating dad and a dozen other nameless family roles. Donald enjoyed a full and adventurous retirement, and later in life loved to travel and get away whenever and wherever possible with his best friend and brother-in-law Bob. Their adventures were priceless. Out of respect to and in assistance to Bob, Donald volunteered at and was even made an honourary member of the Korean Veterans Association. He happily resided in the Bramalea Retirement Residence as his final home.
Gone from our sight but not our hearts.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Ward Funeral Home (Main Street, Brampton, Ontario),
Visitation, on Wednesday November 27th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and funeral service on Thursday, November 28th, at 11:00 am.
