Clarke OliveCLARKE, Olive Maude (nee Langley) - Celebration of a Life Well-Lived – Let the Tears be Tears of Joy!

Olive Maude Clarke (nee Langley), passed peacefully to her rest surrounded by family on Sunday December 8th, 2019, during her 105th year.

Born October 10th, 1914 in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica. Olive is survived by her seven children: Gloria Lacks (Marcel), Joyce Henry, Desmond Clarke, Karl Clarke (Una), Dr. Lilleth Morgan (Dr. Neville Morgan), Carmen Clarke and Dr. Leroy Clarke (Sonia); twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Our beloved Olive embraced life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She nurtured and espoused a legacy of Christ-like characteristics which included charity, faith, humility, love and sincerity. She was hardworking and resilient.

To this end, in lieu of flowers, please join us in celebrating the legacy of Olive by making a monetary gift to the Olive Clarke Memorial Scholarship to be given to a deserving young woman who personifies her values and virtues. The first award will be presented in October 2020 (Olive’s birth month) to a student pursuing postsecondary training. If you need further details, please contact Dr. Leroy Clarke*
