Hanson RobertHANSON, Robert Hughes - On Wednesday December 11, 2019, Bob passed away at age 83.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Glen & Karyn, Son in Law Rusty and cherished granddaughter Samantha.

Bob was born in Scarborough on November 3rd, 1936 and went on to receive a Masters of Geography at McMaster University and enjoyed a career as a teacher and guidance counselor at G.L. Roberts High School in Oshawa. After retiring he expanded on his education by achieving multiple Masters of Divinity.

He loved gardening, football, enjoyed writing, had a lifelong passion for knowledge, and a deep love of Classical Music…particularly Beethoven and Mozart. In addition, a great portion of Bob's life was dedicated to Christian Leadership and Camping. Bob always said his "Happy Place" was Camp Kwasind.

In lieu of a funeral, a Celebration of Life event will be held in late Spring or early Summer 2020 on the grounds of Camp Kwasind in Utterson, Ontario where he devoted so much of his time & energy and was affectionately known as “Uncle Bobby” to generations of campers.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Camp Kwasind.
