Sooknanan DavidSOOKNANAN, David D. - Passed away quietly and peacefully at North York General Hospital on Thursday January 23, 2020, surrounded by the love of his family and care of the hospital staff.

Beloved husband of Angela for 45 years and loving father to Cara and Allan (Hannah).

David is survived by his brother, Samlal Sooknanan (Usha) and his sister Lydia Abdool.

He will be very much missed by his nephews, Rawl, Rajeev, Naindra, Rossi and his nieces, Judy, Sharon and Nandrani, Chandra and Nisa as well as his many other family members world wide.

He was the nephew of Shirley and Ramnarase Ramnarine.

David worked as a Respiratory Technician at Women’s College Hospital, Scarborough General and Scarborough Grace Hospitals.

The family will receive friends and family at Heritage Funeral Home, Toronto on Friday January 31, 2020. The Viewing will be at 1:00 pm, the Funeral service at 2:00pm, followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North York General Hospital, Critical Care Unit (CrCU) or a charity of your choice.
