Green TheaGREEN, Thea Mildred - (September 12, 1927 - January 27, 2020) - Peacefully at the age of 92, on Monday, January 27th, 2020 at The Scarborough Hospital after a brief illness.

Much-loved best friend of 60 years of Jule Webb and husband Donald (deceased), and adored friend of Susan Webb and husband Clinton Somerton.

Daughter of Robert and Iola Green (both deceased) of Morpeth, New South Wales, Australia. Cherished sister of Rae and brother-in-law Claude Wright, Patricia and brother-in-law Peter Searle (all deceased), Garth and sister-in-law Pat, and Rodney and sister-in-law Pat, all of New South Wales, Australia.

Favourite Aunty of Barbara, Tony, Penny, Stephanie, Louise, Philip (deceased) Kathie, David and Craig and their spouses. Great-aunt and great-great aunt to the youngest generation of the Green family, also all of Australia.

Thea’s many friends in Canada included Fatima Bhegani and Maureen Woolley (deceased).

We thank the wonderful staff at Trilogy LTC as well as the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care team at The Scarborough Hospital for their tender care of Thea. A special thank-you to Carol Anne and Aldon Hunt for their incredible support, to Joan and Bob Jones, Thea’s faithful friends from Community Centre 55, who were with Thea throughout her final hospital stay, and to our dear friend Judy Trainer, who supported us across the miles from Australia during the last week of Thea’s life.

May Thea’s soul rest in peace.

A funeral service will be held at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home in West Hill, Ontario on Saturday, February 8th, at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Scott Mission.
