Barrie BobBARRIE, Robert Hart - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robert Hart Barrie on Tuesday February 4, 2020.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Connie, his children Leslee (Bill) and Cam (Dora), and sisters Dorothy and Margaret.

Bobby was the proud grandfather of Lindsay, Zachary, Tristan, Victoria, Joshua and Aaron.

Predeceased by his father Robert, mother Mary, brother Bill, sister Isabell and brother in law Cliff.

Robert will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.

He was born in Renfrew, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1950. Bob spent his early days as a proud member of the Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR) and the Irish regiment. His career spanned from early days of repairing oil burners to eventually returning to school at George Brown College to obtain his Gas fitter and HVAC certificates. He enjoyed being self-employed, running his own business.

Bob had a passion for golf, soccer, fishing and hunting. He was a longtime member for the (ANAF) Army Navy Air Force, where he enjoyed a drink or two and a great game of darts or bridge. He always loved having BBQ’s, parties and dances, but also enjoyed a good book or crossword puzzle.

In his retirement years, he took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren and bragging about them to anyone who would listen. He was loved by all and will be forever remembered for his caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is at peace watching over us.

A celebration of Robert’s life will take place at The Simple Alternative, Mississauga, on Thursday February 13th, 2020 at 2:00PM; with a visitation 1 hour prior 1:00PM-2:00pm and reception to follow.
