Pettitt Dianne 2PETTITT, Dianne Ida (nee White) – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Dianne Ida Pettitt, on February 6th, 2020 at the age of 81.

With family by her side, Dianne passed away peacefully at Scarborough Grace Hospital.

Dianne was born in Toronto on August 20, 1938 to Ina Elizabeth White (nee Bell) and James Couper White.

Dianne is now reunited with her loving husband Ronald Samuel Pettitt and the many other loved ones who passed before her including her parents, In-laws, dear sister Jeannette Orrisson and loving brother James White.

Forever missed and lovingly remembered by her children Philip Christopher, Kelly Ann (Kimmy) and Timothy Glenn (Lindsay), sister Lynn White-Tarr, sister-in-law Arlene McCombs, grandchildren Jaime, Chelsea, Ashley, Jack, Hailey and Blake as well as her nieces and nephews, Charles Jr., Carter, John, Mark, Nicole, Colette, Heather, Eric and Lisa.

Dianne will also be greatly missed by her faithful dog, Dodger and his adopted family, Leo, Cristin and Cornelius.

Our Mom was kind, caring, gentle, compassionate, loyal and spiritual. Mom loved with all her heart and will be most remembered for her boundless love of family, friends and dogs. Mom was also a courageous breast cancer survivor.

Our family would like to sincerely thank the medical team at Scarborough Grace Hospital for the thoughtful care our Mom received. Our family felt truly supported by the caring nursing teams in Units 3D and 4C and the empathetic medical attention of Dr. Amin, Dr. Keen and Dr. Marcus.

Visitations for Dianne will take place on Wednesday, February 12th at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Her funeral service will be on the following day, Thursday, February 13th, at St. Margaret-in-the-Pines Anglican Church, 4130 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough at 11 a.m. Dianne will be laid to rest at St. Margaret’s Cemetery following her service.

In lieu of flowers and in appreciation for Dianne’s love of dogs, donations may be made to your local Animal Rescue or Shelter in Dianne’s memory.
