MacMullin DarcyMacMULLIN, Darcy Roy - (June 13, 1991 - February 8, 2020)

After living 8 ½ years battling brain cancer, on Saturday February 8th, 2020 at 8:30am Darcy succumbed to developing complications of the cancer.

He was surrounded by the love of his immediate family and close friends who stood vigil by his bedside, so he would never be alone. Darcy is now at peace.

Darcy is survived by his parents Patrick Roy MacMullin and Arlene MacMullin (Armin Kroeger); his five siblings Mrs. Janessa Williams (Jonathyn), Jason (Lovina), Angelica (Kaycee), Bryan (Helena), and Sarah (Danier); his two nieces Lily and Iylah Williams; both his maternal grandparents, Alricka Brown and Trevor Brown (Mrs. Patsy Brown); and, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. But Darcy’s proudest love was his beloved godson, Beau Christian.

Darcy was a part of a large family that spans from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, and from Canada to the United States to Jamaica.

Darcy was preceded by his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John and Jean MacMullin; his two uncles Donnie and Duncan MacMullin; and his step-brother Kurt Kroeger.

In September 2018, Darcy met the woman who was to be his life partner, Ana Iorga. They moved in together September 2019 and became engaged January 2020. Darcy wanted to marry Ana before he passed away. As most people already know, Darcy and Ana planned to be wed on February 21, 2020. Fate intervened and Darcy did not survive to that date. Ana is heartbroken with loss.

Darcy was a person full of life. He never acknowledged his illness. He travelled alone and made friends wherever he went. From New York to Florida to Denmark to Iceland, no adventure was beyond his reach. He studied Psychology at Ryerson and was a venture capitalist on the side. He played with the stock market and blogged about food. If the subject held an interest, Darcy would be there.

So now we sadly must say goodbye to our son, our brother, our uncle, our grandson, our nephew, our cousin, our godfather, our friend, but most of all, a loved fiancé. He is gone today, but will never be forgotten.

Darcy MacMullin, with sincerest love, may you rest in peace and soar with the angels.

Arrangements with Delmoro funeral home, Toronto. Visitation there on February 13th from 6 - 9pm, and again on February 14th from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Private cremation to follow.
