DUDNYK, Mykhailo - Passed away on February 7, 2020 at the Toronto General Hospital. He was 81 years old.
He was preparing for a heart surgery, but unfortunately has never received it due to several severe complications. The medical staff at CICU were impressed with how long he fought against all odds.
He was a survivor, an explorer, a craftsman, and a man who enjoyed his life.
Born in the darkest hours of a totalitarian regime, he grew up in the times of World War 2, mass famines and repressions. But through it all he never lost love of life and thirst for exploring new things.
A self-made man, he put himself through university to become a mechanical engineer.
As an avid traveler, he explored many places by foot, by bike, by car, or by boat. He liked making things from scratch with his own hands, from a motor boat to numerous furniture pieces. He has built several houses, planted many trees, and fathered two sons.
He has lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by his friends and family.
