Hart SusanHART, Susan Mary - Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, on Tuesday February 25, 2020 in her 76th year. With family at her side.

Beloved mother of Tracy Collett (Ted) and Robert (Virginia).

Proud Grammy of Talon and Tempest Collett. Sister of Robert Lebans (Donald Cherm) and Peter Lebans (Jean). Step-granddaughter Danielle.

Predeceased by eldest brother William Lebans, half-sister Marilyn Underhill and husband Grant Hart. Daughter of the late Muriel Mackenzie Lebans and Norman Carrol Lebans of Campbelltown, NB.

Susan graduated from The Dorset House School of Occupational Therapy in England, UK. She went on to work for over 40 years in the long-term health care system caring for people with cognitive impairments. She was the Director of the Alzheimer Society of York Region. Susan was a published author, fantastic advocate & speaker, along with being an avid golfer.

During Sue’s retirement years she enjoyed spending time with her cherished Grandchildren Talon and Tempest. She cared for them, took them to softball, dance and gymnastics. She attended so many school events for both grandchildren like assemblies, awards, presentations and meetings. She helped advocate strongly for both grandchildren. She was known to many as simply Grammy. She will be greatly missed.

Special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors of the Palliative care unit at Southlake.

Friends may call at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main St. S, Newmarket on Thursday March 5th from 3 to 6 p.m. This will be for a Celebration of Life - speeches will start at approximately 4:30 p.m.
