GATTO, Salvatore - Passed away in his 77th year on March 9, 2020, in Toronto, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born in Pachino, Sicily, Italy, he was son to Sebastiano and Caterina Gatto.
Salvatore is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Rosaria Gatto, his 3 sons, Sebastiano, Maurizio and Daniele, his beloved grandchildren Stacey, Milena, Erika, Anthony, Kristian and Zoe, daughters in-law Marina and Lisa, his siblings Sarina, Maria, Dina and is pre-deceased by his younger brother Antonio.
Salvatore was a very creative man who enjoyed handcrafting these creations for others to enjoy, especially his grandkids. He cared and helped others through his selflessness and generosity.
He cherished his grandkids and his time spent with them helped him through his battle with Parkinson’s. He will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on Mach12th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The service will take place at St. Lawrence The Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 2210 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto on March 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
